Over the years Saskia has helped many international businesses define and deliver the unique promise encapsulated in their brands. She has worked with leading global clients including ING, Akzo Nobel, DSM, Lafarge, Kraft and Nestlé on the development of their brand(s) and future innovations. Saskia is fluent in five European languages. She was an Associate Director at Interbrand, Partner at Dragon Rouge and Board Director at Loewy, before setting up Benubi.
Michail is our Australian born creative director – he has over 20 years experience in brand creation and development for a diverse range of clients across the world – from start-ups to rebrands, education to oil & gas, events to health, cement to steel, world cup cricket to football.
His curiosity, passion, experience and insight benefit his contributions on projects both big and small – delivering clever and powerful ideas and outstanding design solutions.
Michail has worked in agencies in London and Australia, as Design Director at Bisqit, Senior Designer at Dragon Rouge and a Principal Designer at Minale Bryce.
Ted is passionate about words. He started his career at Saatchi & Saatchi, before moving into the digital advertising arena and joining Born. His headlines are powerful and his ideas strategically strong and profoundly compelling. He is much in demand for his executive communication skills and is a very experienced speech and internal communication writer. The clarity of his thinking is at the heart of his very powerful communications. He has been a member of 26 since the start and joined Benubi in 2010.
Derek is one of our web developers. He joined Benubi in 2014 after a 10 year stint at All of US. Before that he was at Code Computerlove. Derek has an in-depth understanding of the different web platforms and technologies and combines this with a passion for improving business performance – ensuring that the web solutions we build are not only leading edge, future proof but also fit for purpose. His particular areas of expertise are web and on-line application design, including social media and e-commerce.
Max has an intuitive feel for design and interactive experiences. He is an award-winning interactive designer with over 10 years user experience, specialising in back-end Ruby on Rails and PHP. He brings to the team valuable interactive experience and many years of bringing ideas to life across platforms, media and e-commerce.
Nicky started her career as an innovation planner – always looking to the future. Over time she has combined her passion for the future with all things digital and works with a range of clients across platforms to define, fine-tune or revolutionise their digital strategy and on-line performance. She always looks at challenges with a fresh perspective and is much in demand for her measurable results and pragmatic approach. She was senior planner at IDEO and head of strategy at WhatIF prior to joining Benubi in 2011.
Ian’s background is in typesetting, proofreading and typography. His principal focus is on quality management, which goes beyond spotting spelling errors and correcting punctuation. Ian really makes a difference by checking our print and online communications in the most efficient and nicest possible way. He provides an extra guard against slip-ups and an extra typographical eye. He challenges all our verbal and visual decisions and makes sure we deliver consistently to the best of our abilities.
Simon is a highly effective brand marketer with a potent combination of strategic rigour and creative verve. He is a brand developer, consultant and company director with 26 years experience in all areas of marketing, creative exploration, brand strategy and innovation, on both client and agency sides of business. After graduating from Cambridge University with an MA Honours in Geography, Simon has worked both on the client side, with Scottish & Newcastle Breweries and Paramount Pictures, and agency side, with The Added Value Group, The Eventworks (in internal communications), Viability (his own innovation consultancy) and a number of brand design agencies, most recently Lewis Moberly and Holmes & Marchant.
Joshua has over 17 years experience in strategic branding, design and art direction. He is the ideas powerhouse with a talent for translating the first spark of a thought into a compelling ‘script’ for communication. He has been fortunate enough to work with classic branding agencies and progressive mould-breakers alike, creating brands and delivering integrated communications above and below the line – across traditional and non-traditional media. Joshua has worked with clients big and small, established FTSE 100 to start-ups in sectors from law to luxury, finance to fashion, travel to technology. Clients such as Cancer Research UK, Swift, One&Only, Swire, Ballantine’s, Bacardi, Reebok, Umbro, Nike and Orange have all taken advantage of his experience. In essence, Joshua believes in creating intelligent, simple and persuasive ideas that allow brands to perform and compete.
Harvey is a strategist focussed on creating and developing organic growth opportunities for both large and small organisations. He has 10 years of brand and business strategy experience, including assignments to China and projects covering Europe. His approach combines analytical thought and clear communication with a passion for innovation. His particular areas of expertise are: business strategy, business and product innovation, international business development, business case development, proposition development and consumer insight.
Scott is an experienced writer, who is passionate about words, communication and culture. Scott started his career as the Deputy News Editor of Design Week and has subsequently worked with many organisations as a writer, editor and curator.
Anthony has 20 years experience in developing growth for brands through strategically and commercially pragmatic creativity. Before setting up Biles Inc., Anthony was Design Director at Turner Duckworth (London), Design Director at Turner Duckworth (San Francisco), Senior Designer at Brand House (London) and Designer at Smith & Milton (London). Over the years, he has helped brands such as Malvern, Nike, Waitrose, Unilever, Levi Strauss & Co., Amazon.com and Innocent to grow by stretching their appeal to new segments and markets by designing some of the world’s best loved packaging and communications.
Julia is a brand innovation strategist with over 10 years experience in NPD and design innovation. Her particular expertise is food, beauty and beverage pack design, consumer trends and innovation. She started her career in design and worked subsequently as an innovation consultant at Dragon Rouge for many years, advising clients on their brand innovation from a strategic and creative point of view.
David has over 15 years experience in brand design and communication. He has extensive experience working with a wide variety of clients in both the private and public sector across a wide variety of media. David was an Associate Director at Interbrand and was responsible for all Lafarge and Blue Circle related design developments whilst at Interbrand. Most recently he worked on the launch of Siniat and development of the Max Fordham brand and visual identity.
Sara is an experienced project manager and proofreader. She has in-depth experience in planning and implementing large-scale corporate identity change and communication programmes and provides intelligent copy editing and proofreading, particularly of websites, marketing materials, annual reports and corporate presentations.
Scyld is a New York based, British motion graphics designer with over 15 years experience working with major brands. His specialties include: brand launch films, animated identities, display screens for retail, exhibitions, animated presentations and web animations. He has worked with many global clients, including AOL, A&E Networks, Court TV, Alcatel Lucent, IBM, Intel, Samsung, Heineken, Air Products, Barclays, BBC, Dow Jones, Reuters and many more.
Colin started his career at Interbrand, one of the world’s leading branding agencies, where he was promoted to Head of Technical Design, responsible for creating and developing solutions for brand implementation and identity management.
He works with Benubi on the creation of PowerPoint® templates and branding systems and has done so for many of the world’s leading companies, including Aviva, BT (British Telecommunications), Cable and Wireless, Comverse, Easyjet, EDF Energy, Ernst & Young, Epson, GE (General Electric), IBM, Motorola, Norwich Union, Orange, PA Consulting, Philips, PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), Rabobank, Royal Mail, Sainsbury’s, Shell, Siniat, Telstra, Toyota and Umicore.
Esther is a Dutch Associate with over 15 years of corporate communications in employer branding experience. She has worked for numerous leading Dutch companies in the financial services, real estate and engineering sector.
Carolina started her career in advertising, working on concepts, visualisation and actually shooting the footage. For many years she worked in the film industry – making advertising and documentaries. Over the years she has expanded her skills and most recently worked as an innovation and brand planner in design agencies such as WMH. She is an award-winning camera and ethnography specialist and has worked with Benubi on several consumer studies and corporate movies.
Martin is Senior Designer with over 20 years packaging experience and a track record of creating very original yet relevant stand-out and aligned range designs. Martin’s particular expertise is prestige ranges of everyday brands and he knows the beverage sector inside out, having designed some stunning pack concepts and designs for various drinks brands.
Alastair is a “thinking man’s designer” who reads a lot of philosophy, psychology and sociology and who is obsessed by aesthetic meaning and semiotics. A senior designer, specialising in packaging, branding and print, Alastair has an unusual ability to develop genuinely category-challenging concepts and turn them into commercially effective design. Alastair has done stints at five of the most award-winning design consultancies: Turner Duckworth, Williams Murray Hamm, The Partners, Lewis Moberly and Blackburns.
Susan has over 15 years experience in brand strategy and communication. She has extensive experience working in the Netherlands in a wide variety of communication roles in both the private and public sector. Susan masters the Dutch and English language in a truly unique way and is able to make the most factual texts come to life by carefully selecting words and crafting simple, yet compelling, messages. Her personality, high standards and attention to detail make her one of the most desirable Dutch copywriters.
Nadine has over 10 years design, communication and identity experience. She has extensive experience working with large corporations on their corporate identity and communication. Nadine has worked in some of the leading brand agencies, including Landor, Dragon Rouge and Ogilvy.
Adjani is a Dutch marketing and communications specialist with 5 years experience. Her particular areas of expertise are corporate brands and marketing strategy. She most recently worked with Benubi on the brand strategy for Siniat and the brand architecture for Fives Group.
Derek is a Senior Artworker and Visualiser with 20 years experience working predominantly for Turner Duckworth, Lewis Moberly, Elmwood, Dragon Rouge and Design Bridge. Derek studied and then trained as a technical illustrator, which led him into working with computers, Photoshop and 3D Visualising software. Derek has excellent technical illustration skills; he can visualise literally anything and make it look even better than the real thing, which he can do either in Photoshop, using 3D software, or conventionally.
